Publication that explores several manifestos and artistic movements in order to demonstrate that art is not an exact science. Despite several attempts to decode it and understand it is still a big question mark in history and nowadays. Why a newspaper? because I wanted to make an easy and visual way of representing the information and create an opinion that is basically what we do when we read the news. The production cost are surprisingly low so it could be distributed for free in public spaces like coffee shops, museums, tube, universities… Each issue would talk about the most recent art movements, at the end it is market like every other and it suffer changes constantly, everyone should be able to get the information about it.

It is also a good way of get in some culture while being aware of what is currently happening in the ART world.  I wanted to create something that everyone could understand and enjoy even those without an artistic background. Despite using some of the conventions that essentially belong to the newspaper I have use a creative and very visual approach. To talk about the actual art market often based upon social media and really connected to technology where the idea weights more than the making process or the piece itself.

‘The craftsman knows what he wants to make before he makes it.…The making of a work of art…is a strange and risky business in which the maker never knows quite what he is making until he makes it.’
– R.G. Collingwood
